WINTER/SPRING 2026 SESSION
Tuesday 3 February to Thursday 28 May
NEW STUDENTS REGISTRATION
New students are welcome to join the Dojo at any time during a session. If you would like to learn more about our traditional Okinawan style of karate and our Dojo, please join us for a free trial class. Simply arrive at the Dojo 10 minutes before the start of a class.
Once you then decide to register, please submit our online New Student Registration Form.
CLASS TIMES AND FEES

Children 7-10 years old:

Classes: Tues and Thurs 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm.

Session fees: $125. (for a 15 week session)

Youths (11+)/adults:
-
Classes: Tues and Thurs 6:45 pm - 8:00 pm.

Sessions fees: $160. (for a 15 week session)

NOTES:

The session fees will be prorated based on the new student's start date.

No payment required when submitting the New Student Registration Form. An invoice will follow.

Tuesday 3 Feb: First class of the session.

Tuesday 3 Feb: Tickets go on sale for our winter 2026 raffle fundraiser. See the section below for more details.

Thursday 12 Mar, 6:15 pm: Draw for the raffle prizes at the Dojo.

Monday 16 Mar - Fri 27 Mar: NO CLASSES during the school spring break.

Tuesday 26 May: Testing (more info to be provided in April).

Thursday 28 May: Presentation of test results, demonstrations and BBQ. Last class of session.
DOJO CLOSED DURING JUN, JUL AND AUG
Fall 2026 session will start on Tuesday 8 Sept. Registration information will be available in May.
WINTER 2026 RAFFLE FUNDRAISER
TO SUPPORT OUR DOJO CLASSES AND ACTIVITIES
Tickets will be available for purchase from Tuesday 3 Feb to Thursday 12 Mar. Tickets are $5.00 each. Only 1,000 tickets are available. Draw will take place at the Dojo on Thursday 12 Mar at 6:15 pm. You don't need to be present to win. Tickets can be purchased at the Dojo during class hours or by calling (250) 517-9917.
The raffle prizes are:
1st prize: One day guided pontoon boat trip for 6 on Shuswap Lake. Value: $800. Donated by an instructor.
2nd prize: Gift certificate for a 5-course Chef's dinner for 2. Value: $358. Donated by Timber Shuswap.
3rd prize: Outland fire bowl 24" outdoor mega portable propane campfire. Value: $250. Donated by a parent.
4th prize: Voucher for the fall 2026 Shuswap Dojo session. Value: up to $160. Donated by the Dojo.
5th prize: Gift certificate for Stratis Mediterranean Grill. Value: $100. Donated by Diverso Enterprises.
6th prize: Gift certificate for the Blind Bay Village Grocer. Value: $100. Donated by Twisted Willow Farm.
