FALL 2024 SESSION
TESTING ACTIVITIES
- Tuesday 3 Dec: - Regular classes. Students considered ready for testing will be informed by their respective instructors. All testing criteria can be found here (bottom of that page).
- Thursday 5 Dec: - 5:30 pm to 6:00 pm (upper level): Testing for 5-6 years old class.
- 5:30 pm and 6:45 pm (lower level): Regular classes for 7-10 years old and youths
11+)/adults respectively.
- Tuesday 10 Dec: - No 5:30 pm class for 5-6 years old.
- 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm (lower level): Testing for 7-10 years old class.
- 6:45 pm to 8:00 pm (lower level): Testing for youths (11+)/adults class.
- Thursday 12 Dec: - End of year event for all age groups/classes. Families are invited to attend.
- 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm: Presentation of test results, demonstrations and presentation of the
Student of the Year award (lower level).
- 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm: Snacks and refreshments (upper level) for all students and their families.
FAMILIES ARE ENCOURAGED TO BRING FINGER FOODS (appetizer or dessert) TO SERVE 6 to 8 PEOPLE. REFRESHMENTS WILL BE PROVIDED.

The Dojo will be closed from 13 Dec 2024 to 3 Feb 2025. The winter/spring 2025 session will start on Tues 4 Feb.
You must register (see below) to attend the session.

RETURNING STUDENTS (i.e. those who have attended one or more sessions): Submit the online Returning Student Registration Form.
JAPAN TOURNAMENT - SUNDAY 23 MARCH 2025
We are conducting two fundraisers to support the Dojo team who will participate in the Shorei-Kan Goju Ryu tournament in Tokyo:

Fundraiser #1 (6 Nov through 14 Dec 2024): Lodging offer by Woodland Cabins in White Lake (see below for details).

Fundraiser #2 (4 Feb through 13 Mar 2025): Raffle (tickets will be available for sale on 4 Feb). More details to follow in Dec 2024.
In January 2025 the Dojo will be ordering sport grey hooded sweatshirts, sport grey sweatpants and black tuques embroidered with the Okinawa Goju-Ryu Shorei-Kan Karate crest.
